Grandpa Has Logged Over 2 000 Hours In Red Dead Redemption 2

IndyDrew85 returned to Reddit to update users on his grandpa’s Red Dead Redemption 2 journey. An image of IndyDrew85’s grandpa’s stats show that he has played the critically-acclaimed Red Dead Redemption 2 for over 2,000 hours at this point, with 92% completion and 25 achievements. With over 2,000 hours logged in the game, it seems like IndyDrew85’s grandpa could have gotten 100% completion by now if he wanted to, but he must be busy focusing on other aspects of the game instead.

IndyDrew85 provided a screenshot of his own stats for comparison. Unsurprisingly, IndyDrew85’s grandpa’s playtime absolutely dwarfs his grandson’s, as IndyDrew85 only has a little over 200 hours logged into the game. Despite his grandpa having 10 times the playtime as IndyDrew85, though, IndyDrew85 does have more Red Dead Redemption 2 achievements, with 27 achievements compared to his grandpa’s 25 achievements.

This isn’t the first time a Reddit user has shared a story about their older family member enjoying Red Dead Redemption 2. A few months ago, Reddit user kleverone revealed that their 69 year old dad got 100% completion in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Getting 100% completion in Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn’t require players to do literally everything in the game, but it’s still not an easy task by any stretch of the imagination. To get 100% completion in Red Dead Redemption 2, players have to complete all of the story missions, a certain number of each type of side mission, hunt most of the game’s animals, and complete a variety of other challenges.

Unlocking all of the Red Dead Redemption 2 achievements and trophies is an even more daunting task, as it requires players to go beyond what the 100% completion requirement asks of players. But what’s clear by how much IndyDrew85’s grandpa has played Red Dead Redemption 2 is that players don’t have to shoot for 100% completion to have a fun time with the game. Red Dead Redemption 2’s open world is full of interesting sights to see and there’s always something to do in the game, even after one has logged over 2,000 hours into it.
