We had previously shown off the gameplay trailer for the Redux modification, though at that point in time the release date wasn’t mentioned. As fate would have it, the developers put out a new video shortly after that answered the one question everyone wanted to know! As it turns out, the Grand Theft Auto 5 Redux modification will release on August 26, so gamers eager to immerse themselves in the slick visuals don’t have too much longer to wait.
Modification developer Josh Romito released a new trailer in celebration of the release date reveal. Interested gamers can check it out below:

It’s evidently getting easier for realistic graphics to fool people at first glance, evident by the fact that a Grand Theft Auto 5 screenshot was recently featured by a hotel that assumed it was an actual photo of Los Angeles. There’s already a few photorealism modifications out 4K visual enhancers out for the game already, but Redux has certainly brought an entirely new feeling to the game with the project’s custom scripting. Gamers interested in reading the entire list of official features can do so here, which truly reveals the extent this modification goes to enhance the visual experience.
Of course, it’s not just visual modifications that fans are creating. Gamers interested in returning to the islands of Vice City or wrecking Los Santos in the form of Marvel superheroes can all do so relatively easily. We see no signs of the modding community behind Grand Theft Auto 5 slowing down, and we’re sure plenty of new modification content is underway. After all, is anyone really satisfied until someone creates a modification that lets us drive across the western frontier of Red Dead Redemption?
The answer is no.
Are you going to return to Los Santos to test out the new visuals, Ranters?
Grand Theft Auto 5 is available for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, and PS4. The Redux mod will become available to download for PC on August 26, 2016.
