At £469 it’s undoubtedly a great deal that adds even more value for money to an already low asking price for everything that the Nord packs.

The Nord is a near-flagship handset. It’s so impressive our deputy editor Dominic Preston called it “the best mid-range phone in the world right now” in his full five-star review.

The OnPlus Nord eschews the extra nice-to-haves available in its more premium phones (like the OnePlus 8 Pro and 8T), but this keeps prices nice and low.

So what exactly is missing? First, unlike the OnePlus 8 range, the Nord has a plastic chassis instead of a metal one, but that’s barely noticeable.

The Nord also offers a flat display instead of a curved one. But you do get a best-in-class AMOLED Full HD+ display that’s better than some premium flagships out there.

The biggest difference of course is you get a Snapdragron 765G chipset, instead of the top-tier Snapdragon 865 – but that would only matter if you’re playing the most demanding mobile games.
